Trading Commodities
A commodity is any physical product including food, grains or metals, that can be exchanged with another product of the same type, and is able to be bought or sold between people, or investors. Hard commodities are typically products like Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Gold, and Silver which are mined. Weather speculated as a spot, or a future contract, commodities are traded on global exchanges, like the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), Commodities Exchange (COMEX), and EURONEXT.
Trading commodities for the individual investor has never been easier than with a new generation of trading systems created at MQF. All commodity trading is conducted via CFDs (Contract for Difference). CFD's allow clients to trade as never before, by placing buy / sell orders without the need to take physical delivery of barrels of oil, or gold bullion. Clients are able to diversify their investment portfolios by adding commodity positions through the same trading platform as regularly traded Forex instruments.
